In
some music we may see a D.C
mark at the end.
This stands Da Capo
which simply means go back to the beginning of the piece.
Also
look out for Da Capo al
fine (D.C. al fine)
- repeat from beginning up to
the word fine
*
*The
fine
(Italian for finish) should be ignored the first time but used
on the repeat.
Watch out for this one
- Da Capo al coda (D.C. al Coda):
repeat from beginning to an indicated place "to coda
".
And then play the tail part or coda which is also marked
with the coda sign .
Look out for the D.S or Dal Segno
sign. This means go back to the sign .
This can also be written D.S al fine or D.S al coda.
